1. What inspired you to become a developer?
I first became interested in coding when I was a junior in high school and started tinkering with code to build small projects on my personal website. After I graduated from high school, I decided to pursue a degree in computer science at the University of Utah because I loved learning about how computers work and figured it would be an amazing way to create software. After completing my undergraduate degree, I moved to Seattle to start my career as a developer. It’s been an amazing ride ever since!

How did Matt find his niche in marketing?
Matt Swider found his niche in marketing by accident. After completing his undergraduate degree in business administration, Matt was working in a corporate setting as a marketing manager. He was struggling to find a niche that really suited him and felt he was stuck in a rut. On a trip to Japan, Matt happened to visit a shrine and saw the kanji characters for “marketing” inscribed on the wall. He later discovered that this shrine was dedicated to the goddess of marketing and that it was her birthday. This made him think about how he could use marketing to connect with people and create meaningful relationships. This is when Matt decided to focus his career on marketing and launched his own marketing consulting business. Today, Matt’s company helps businesses achieve their marketing goals through the use of Social Media, Advertising, and Events Management.
