Airtable does not offer a formal budget or report card. Instead, the records and categories you create using Airtable’s spreadsheets and formulas serve as your potential budget reports. But if you don’t feel up to the challenge of creating a budget in Airtable, don’t worry, there are plenty of templates to choose from that will give you the framework you’re looking for.

Airtable offers many features as a visually pleasing project management tool. And it rewards users with a lot of versatility if they take the time to understand the spreadsheet formulas.

As mentioned earlier, Trello is strictly kanban-style software, but it makes up for any lack of other features with its stellar user experience. In my opinion, Trello review has the best kanban experience I’ve seen in a project management tool, even better than Airtable’s kanban functionality. Task cards are easy to navigate and offer tons of features like tagging, comment threads, sub-task checklists, file attachments, and external tool integration.

On the other hand, Trello doesn’t offer many other project management features. There are no native financial management features, but Trello tries to make up for them by offering a long list of integrations with other project tools to fill in the gaps.

Which software is better, Airtable or Trello?

If we were to just look at the total between the two tools, it seems obvious that Airtable comes out on top, but I’m not sure that’s a true apples-to-apples comparison. These tools are designed for completely different types of projects and situations, so if you were to ask me which one you should choose, I would have to say that it depends on what you need and what you value more. Both Trello and Airtable made our list of the eight best Asana alternatives, and both deserve their rights.
